This issue is common when installing your game on Windows Vista or Windows 7. In many cases, a desktop icon may not be created when the game is installed on these operating systems.
If a desktop icon is not created after installing, Beyond the Sword, you can locate it here:
- Select Start > Computer and double-click your C: Drive.
- Open Program Files.
- Open Firaxis Games > Sid Meier's Civilization 4 then the Beyond the Sword folder.
You can launch the game from the Civ4BeyondSword application.
To create a desktop icon, right click the Civ4BeyondSword application file and select, "Create Shortcut".
You can now drag the shortcut to your desktop and use to launch the game.
