Note: When attaching a screenshot to your support request, the screenshot file size will need to be under 400KB in size, or Technical Support will be unable to receive the attachment.

Windows Vista / Windows 7/8/10

You can use the built-in program, Snipping Tools. To capture a snip using Snipping Tools, follow the below steps:

  1. Open Snipping Tool by clicking the "Start" button. In the search box, type Snipping Tool, and then, in the list of results, select/click "Snipping Tool".
  2. Click the arrow next to the "New" button, select "Free-form Snip", "Rectangular Snip", "Window Snip", or "Full-screen Snip" from the list, and then select the area of your screen that you want to capture.
  3. After you capture a snip, click the "Save Snip" button in the mark-up window.
  4. In the Save As dialog box, enter a name for the snip, choose a location where to save the snip, and then click "Save".
  5. Attach the saved image to your response by selecting either "Insert and Attach File" or "Attach a File".

Windows XP:

In Windows, select “PrtScn” or “Print Screen” on your keyboard. Windows will capture the entire screen and copy it to the clipboard. Look for this group of keys at the upper right hand side of your keyboard.

 To take a screen shot of a single window, hold “Alt” and press “PrtScrn”. Windows will capture only the currently active window and copy it to the clipboard.

You will need to paste the image captured to Paint:

  1. Start Paint.
  2. Paste - (You can select Ctrl + V to Paste).
  3. Save.

Please attach that file to your support request.

Mac Operating Systems:

  • To take a screenshot, hold the keyboard keys: Command+Shift+3.  
  • This will take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop.  
  • Attach this file to your response to Technical Support.
